Living in Germany, we are so lucky to border many other European countries. One of the best things about volksmarching is you can hike in many places, collecting stamps from all over the continent.
Walking in other countries?
No matter where you are traveling, you probably can find either an IVV event walk or a permanent walk.
It’s fun when finding a new place to explore, whether it be a capital city or a castle on the Rhine River, there probably is a walk to do. You can walk in the morning, go to lunch and explore the area in the afternoon. What a fantastic way to explore Europe.
Many times per year, host clubs will hold special walks to celebrate things like the wine harvest, almond flowers, beer, Christmas markets, etc. Keep your eyes open at the Werber tables to find special events to plan on going to.
